Pacific Internal Medicine Group has served the Long Beach community since 1969, providing an outstanding level of care with the goal of optimizing your health and well-being. We are able to provide quality, personalized medical care for our patients because we get to know you. We maintain a close provider-patient relationship. We encourage our patients should be able to speak openly with either Dr. Adams or
Erika, our Nurse Practitioner, when they have questions or concerns. Our staff is equally committed to providing the best possible service to our patients.

Dr. John D. Adams Jr., D.O.
Dr. Adams has been caring for patients in Long Beach and Orange County for over 40 years. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, a Certified Geriatrician and one of a few independent physicians still practicing in the area. This independence enables him to give more personalized attention to his patients.
Erika Hartwell, Nurse Practioner
Erika Hartwell is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Texas at Arlington and earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing Science and Nurse Practitioner’s certification at United States University in San Diego, CA.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner Erika worked in the emergency room and in outpatient surgery, working with patients of all ages.
